Karen has been a Physical Therapist since 1970. She graduated in 1969 from Springfield College, Springfield, MA with a BS in Physical Education in 1969 and continued to the University of Pennsylvania to complete a Certificate of Proficiency post graduate degree in Physical Therapy in 1970. Returning to Springfield College, she earned a M.Ed. in Guidance and Psychological Services in 1974. Karen has worked in a variety of Physical Therapy settings, and has specialized in outpatient orthopedics since 1974, taking continuing education courses in CranioSacral treatment, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy, Strain/Counter strain, Visceral mobilization, treatment of pregnant and postpartum patients with musculoskeletal problems, the Mulligan Approach to treatment, treatment of the spine, sacroiliac area, breast cancer rehabilitation, pelvic pain, and general orthopedics. Karen is a registered Physical Therapist in Maine, a Certified Clinical Instructor in Physical Therapy since 1996 and is currently completing the requirements for the APTA Specialist Certification in Obstetrics.
